Welch 402106 Rebuild Tool MPC Series Vacuum Pumps
Make your Welch 2052, 2163B-01 and other MPC or “Ilmenau” Series Welch Vacuum pump rebuilds easier with this special spanner tool. See Specifications for the particular model numbers this tool is good for.
The tool is sold separately from the diaphragm replacement kits and can be used on future rebuilds.
These pumps use flat membranes that are held in place against the connecting rod and “Pressure Washer” by a “Tightening Washer”. The Welch #826801 Spanner pivots at the very base, just like a giant pair of tweezers. This Spanner can have the nibs positioned on the nib-holes in the Tightening Washer so that it can be removed without scratching off the PTFE coating.
