Our largest standard forced-air oven with 38 cubic feet of capacity. Take advantage of massive capacity for high thru-put production environments. This NRTL Certified oven has a double-walled, corrosion-resistant stainless steel interior and powder-coated exterior. It was built for continuous drying at temperatures up to 260°C and includes a factory-set overtemperature protection to prevent burnout and control failure. Features programmable horizontal air flow design. 38 Cubic feet of interior space, 230V 1ph power. There is no humidity sensor in the SMO38.

The SMO38HP-2 is a forced air laboratory oven designed for continuous, large-scale drying at temperatures up to 260°C. The SHEL LAB SMO-38HP-2 includes a factory-set overtemperature fail-safe that helps protect the oven from control failure and guards against burnout. Double doors and 3.5″ thick wrap-around fiberglass insulation on all sides helps prevent heat loss.
SMO38-HP-2 Control
The Controller is programmable, with a total of 24-step ramp and soak features. The control has a tolerance to 0.1°C, multiple levels of operator access and automatic resumption of program following a power failure. Time and temperature are display on a three-digit LED readout for quick and accurate reading and setting. The entire panel is water and acid resistant.
Powerful Airflow
The system’s horizontal airflow provides fast heat-up and recovery and ensures rapid drying. Twin turbo blowers ensure that heated air is continuously circulated. The blowers also circulate air to the fan motor bearings to help prolong fan motor life. Three adjustable air intake and exhaust ports can be opened for fast drying of high-moisture content samples.
Shelves
The Shel Lab SMO-38HP-2 includes 6 each 21″D x 23.5″W punched stainless steel shelves that are adjustable on 1″ mounting strips. The punched out shelf pattern insures optimal airflow over solid shelves. Additional shelves can be added as options.
